Community Map Exhibition: Age-friendly x Outdoor spaces (Hung Hom)

In 2002, the World Health Organization (WHO) introduced the concept of age-friendly to encourage the development of elderly friendly environment with the right community facilities and services that cater diversified demands. Thus, we organised “Community Map Workshops: Age-friendly in Hung Hom” from September to October 2019 to encourage participants exploring the age-friendly outdoor spaces and buildings in Hung Hom, through home visit to elderly, face-to-face discussion and simulation of travelling with wheelchair and crutch across the district, to draw the very first age-friendly Map of Hung Hom. Based on the blueprint, we developed a version of community map to be displayed in the exhibition.
