There was a old saying: “It’s easy to open a shop but hard to keep it open”. Ming Heung Tea Import & Export Co in Kowloon City has been operating for over fifty years, which is truly remarkable. It has witnessed the transformation of Kowloon City and is now being run by the third generation. They have collaborated with Chua Lam to create a new tea called “Bao Bao Tea,” which has become extremely popular.
The tea house operates in a “front shop, back factory” manner, displaying large tin cans with various types of tea for customers to choose from one side, while the other side serves as a tea-tasting room. The owner still insists on hand-picking tea leaves and roasting them with charcoal, a practice that only a few tea shops in Hong Kong follow. With dedication, genuine products, and a steadfast commitment to tea culture, the tea house continues to thrive.
