There’s a delightful cafe with outdoor where you can spend a afternoon under the big tree opposite to Hau Wong Temple.
Stone Houses Cafe is located inside the Stone Houses Family Garden Estate on Junction Road. It is run by a social enterprise, offering classic Hong Kong Style snacks like egg tarts and chicken pies, and also coffee, sandwiches, pasta and all-day breakfast.
After enjoying your afternoon tea, you can visit the “Interpretation Centre” to learn about its history and revitalization efforts. The Stone Houses Family Garden was formerly known as the Hau Wong Temple New Village. It was rated as Grade III historic buildings and were revitalized as “Stone Houses Family Garden” under the Phase II of the “Revitalising Historic Buildings Through Partnership Scheme.
